My name is Bruce Beveridge

In 2008 I began working with ReClam the Bay speaking to the public at Fairs and Festivals in Ocean County, NJ.

In the beginning, I was asked questions about animals in Barnegat Bay and the environment.
Many questions I did not have answers for.

I would research for answers and save the results in Word documents.

In 2009 I decided to create this website to share what I have learned (and am still learning) with the public.

What we are:

This site is here to provide information and facts to illustrate and explain aquatic life in Barnegat Bay, specifically shellfish.

Although the subject matter can become very detailed, our goal is to provide information that explains each topic in an easy to understand format.

As we grow, more information will be added. Your input and requests are welcome!

We strive for accuracy. If you see something the you believe is not correct, email us and we will do everything we can to rectify.

What we are not:

Political – There are many issues effecting the health of Barnegat Bay its marine life.
We will point out problems some common sense actions that everyone can do to help keep the bay clean but we are not an organization that takes political action against pollution, overfishing and other actions detrimental to the quality of life in the bay.
